Wednesday June 1
Happy June ! Hard to believe it is the last month of school. Our learners have come so far this year. We are very proud of them. We are looking forward to spending this last month with them before they move on to Grade 1!
AM Kindergarten had a visit from Miss Wauthier's Grade 1/2 class to present their reader's theatre on the Wild Robot. We were so impressed at the Grade 1/2's reading and writing to create their performances. Well done!
We continued to create our plasticine ocean creatures. While some of our friends did clay creations, the other groups of children played math games and did free choice writing in our journals. We will be rotating over the next few days for everyone to have a chance to get their plasticine ocean creatures made. We are creating an ocean scene for the animals we have learned.
We practiced adding to 5 and to 10. We used blocks and white boards to practice what numbers make 5 and 10.
We enjoyed listening to a few read alouds. We listened for rhyming words in the stories.
Mrs. Mask' s PM class had music. We went outside to play to enjoy the beautiful sunshine.
A reminder that there is NO school for Kindergarten on Friday. Our new Kindergarten children for next year will be visiting our class :)
