Monday November 15
We started our week with new arrival activities. We are practicing some counting skills, patterning, alphabet matching and cooperative games.
Ms. Mach continued to teach us about patterns. We made patterns with our bodies and had to guess the core of the pattern and how to extend the pattern. We made pattern sweaters in our books.
Ms. Gysbers taught us about the sense of touch. We had played a mystery bag game where we had to place our hands in the bag and describe the texture. We also got in groups and tried a slime experiment. We created slime out of 2 ingredients. Ask your child about making the slime and what did they notice.
We had gym today and practiced our rolls, balances and jumps. Mrs. Mask's PM class had music with Mrs. Coulson.

PEACE AMBASSADORS – JACKET RACKET Charity Drive
The Eric Harvie Peace Ambassadors will soon be starting our drive for Jacket Racket. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to help other children here in our city, by donating warm outerwear that they no longer need. It is a valuable experience for our students and reinforces our school’s commitment to peace and citizenship education. We accept new or gently used items. Bagged items can be brought to the school on Wednesday, November 10 to Thursday, November 18 and dropped off into bins in front of the school between 8:15 am and 3:30 pm, keeping our Covid rules in place. Jacket Racket will pick up our donations on Friday, November 19.
