Glenbow Ranch Volunteers

This is an important message to all of the parents who signed up to volunteer for the Glenbow Ranch Field Trip tomorrow.  If you are not sure, please email Jennele Coulson at jabaine@cbe.ab.ca.


Thank you so much for volunteering your time to come with us tomorrow, Wednesay June 22.  It is going to be a really great day.  We will be going rain or shine so please come prepared for any weather.  If it is rainy and miserable all day long we do have the ability to call the busses back early to shorten the day, however we are hoping for a beautiful day of learning.  

Please meet Mrs. Coulson at Glenbow Ranch at 9:00 a.m.  If you are not able to get a ride there please email her at jabaine@cbe.ab.ca.  We will meet in the parking lot and you will be given your group information.  Every group will have a number.  The students will come off the busses knowing which group number they are and will come join you in the parking lot.  If you did not sign a volunteer risk acknowledgement I will have extras at Glenbow Ranch with me and you can sign them there. 

There are two pathways - some groups are going to be going along Tiger Lily loop and the others around Yodel Loop.  There are two stations on each loop that are set up by Glenbow Ranch as well as some teacher run stations.  Timing and information will all be explained on the day of.  You will also be given a little backpack with a few materials in it as well as a map of the location.  

Please ensure that you have a lunch and a snack and water bottle for yourself and anything else you might need.  You might want to throw a few garbage bags in your backpack as well in case it does rain.  Up to you!

 Hello Kindergarten!!! I am Jennele Coulson and I teach you (your student) music twice a week.  We have so much fun together.  At the end of every month you can expect a post from me keeping you up to date with that we have been working on in music class.  I have so much to update you on.   At Eric Harvie there is a huge focus on peace songs.  We began the year by learning one of our favourites. Thursday March 10

If you have booked an online conference, your child is bringing home their blue journal and white visual journal.  Please look through these journals prior to your interview time.  Please return the journals to us on Monday.  If you booked an in person conference, your child's work will be at the school for you to look at with them.  All journals will be sent home at the end of June for you to keep.  Many thanks! Today was a great day at school.  Thank you to everyone who helped their child bring Show and Tell this week.  Please check the show and tell calendar that was emailed to you last week and mark your child's date on the calendar. As a reminder ... Cultural Artifact   In Social Studies, we are learning about what makes each of us unique. To help us learn about each other, we are asking that each child bring in a cultural artifact (object) that represents (or is important) to your family. We started our day with picking prizes from the prize box for home reading. (Mrs. Mask forgot to get the prizes out for PM. PM will get them tomorrow :) Thank you for your patience Kinders ) We are all done with home reading this year and we are very proud of all our learners for all their effort and hard work. Thank you to the parents for practicing with your children at home! Keep up your reading over the summer months. AM Kindergarten had a special visit from Mrs. Bowles Grade 1/2 class who practiced their readers theater. Well done Grade 1/2!  We read, "National Geographic for Kids Ants" book and watched a video about ants. We did a guided drawing of an ant in our visual journals. Ask your child what they learned about Ants.  PM Kindergarten did their favourite bug out of construction paper.  We went outside to play. Mrs. Mask's PM class had music.
